Frequently Asked Questions
We want you to be as happy as possible with the service we provide and we don’t like nasty surprises any more than you do. For this reason, we believe in complete transparency at all levels. We want you to know what to expect from us all throughout our relationship together.
Here are some key questions for your information but if there is something specific you want to know more about, just get in touch.
Will I be charged for the first meeting?
Absolutely not. You will never be asked to pay us for a service provided unless you have agreed in advance to appoint us for fee based work.
What are the costs of your services?
Like all things, the cost of service depends on what services are required. We have a very transparent remuneration policy and we use service level agreements which are discussed and agreed in advance of you making any commitments to ensure no surprises. You can see our typical fees here.
Are you happy to be paid by commission?
For investment and pensions related advice, almost always we would expect to be paid via a pre-agreed fee. We are however happy to be paid commission for non investment insurance related business.
Can you visit me at home?
We think financial planning is important and justifies time away from your normal day to day distractions. In addition, our planning tools rely on technology which is difficult to replicate in your home or office. If you are unable to visit us, we may be able to arrange a home visit subject to a fee of £75 per visit.
What is your “Don’t Like. Don’t Pay” Guarantee
This relates to our Full Lifetime Financial Planning Service. (The first two parts of our Think, Plan, Act process). The service is provided free of charge to clients choosing our Premier Lifetime annual service package but where this isn’t the case, a fee will normally apply.
If, on conclusion of this plan, you feel it has not added any value, we simply won’t charge you for it. All we ask is for your feedback on what we could do to improve next time around.
